Helen Woodward Animal Center’s 23rd Annual Spring Fling
We’re making, “Promises Promises” that guests will say, “That’s Entertainment” when Helen Woodward Animal Center (HWAC) hosts its 23rd annual Spring Fling fundraiser, “Broadway Tails,” on Saturday, June 4, 2011.
The Spring Fling presented by The Fish Market and EDCO, is San Diego’s premiere black tie event in support of animals and people in-need. The curtain rises at 5:30 PM (until Midnight) under the Center’s covered arena at 6461 El Apajo Road.
“Most of the upper level tickets have been sold, but we still have a few seats in the other levels,” says HWAC Special Events Supervisor Meghan Trejo. “Co-Chairs Kerry Appleby Payne, Elizabeth Wohlford MacLeod, and Charlene Hooker, with Honorary Chairs Steve and Kathleen Flynn want every guest to have an award-winning evening at the Spring Fling!”
“Playbill” level seating at $250 per person includes fine food from 30 of San Diego’s best restaurants, hosted bars, martini luges, and dance music by Wayne Foster Entertainment.
“Broadway” seating at $350 adds table service, a complimentary bottle of champagne at each table, attendance at the, “Patron’s Party,” and a commemorative gift.
Guests in the, “Tony” level at $750 per person receive all amenities plus a gourmet dinner entrée and entry into the, “Wine Opportunity Drawing.”
“The Live Auction offers some rare opportunities,” says Trejo. “One lucky bidder will win the chance of a lifetime to ring the opening bell on the New York Stock Exchange on December 23 then spend Christmas at Times Square. Another auction item that is near and dear to our hearts will give the winning bidder the opportunity to name an entire litter of puppies before they become available for adoption. Two great highlights of an evening at Broadway Tails.”
Dave Scott and Sandra Maas from KUSI will serve and Master and Mistress of Ceremonies for the event. Maria Montana of San Diego Food Finds will judge the offerings from 25 of the finest restaurants in the San Diego area.
