Bank of America in Rancho Santa Fe robbed again, money, suspects recovered nearby
The Bank of America branch at Avenida de Acacias was robbed just after noon Friday Oct. 8. However, a man accused of the robbery and the woman accused as getaway driver were arrested and the money recovered, officials said.
Sheriff’s deputies said the man walked into the bank around 12:15 p.m., handing a note demanding money to a teller. The man left after the teller gave him an undisclosed amount of money.
Deputies stopped a vehicle described as the get-away vehicle near the bank and recovered the money, officials said.

A 69-year-old woman was injured when she was walking and struck by a car near the intersection of Cancha de Golf and Via Valle Verde around 4:20 p.m. Friday, Oct. 8, officials said
The woman was taken by San Diego Fire Department Helicopter 1 to Palomar Medical Center for treatment of undisclosed serious injuries, said Julie Taber of the Rancho Santa fe Fire Department.
A man in his mid-to-late-70s who drove the car was uninjured. The California Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of the accident and no charges immediately had been filed.
